Sad Meli winery is located in the beautiful village of Sad Meli, Racha. As most of small cellars in Georgia, Sad Meli is also a family business. The household was purchased by the family in 2001 and in 2013 family moved from the Capital Tbilisi to village Sadmeli, Racha. They started building a cellar in 2017 and finished it in 2018. They found that there was a demand on the market for small family hotels, so they built it as well. The idea of going into wine making business belonged to Beka Kerselidze - a son of Archil Kerselidze (interviewed in the video).
